Join Pack 88
There is no better place for your family to start your journey through Scouting than with Pack 88! Based in the Heights area of Houston, TX, we cover Travis, Harvard and Wharton schools but welcome children from across the city.
The average annual costs of being a Pack member, including two camp outs and a subscription to Boy’s Life Magazine, is around $175. A one-time purchase of uniform is around $50 for shirt, cap and accessories.

How to join
Joining the Cub Scouts is easier than ever! All details can now be submitted online and you’ll be contacted by a member of Pack 30 once we receive your application. Feel free to email recruitment@houstonpack88.org with any questions.

Pack 88 is open to boys and girls, ages K-5. We primarily recruit from Travis and Wharton schools in the Houston Independent School District but anyone who lives in the Houston area can join. If you would like to find out about Packs that may be closer to you than Pack 88, you can search at beascout.org.
Become a parent volunteer
Scouting is an adventure for the whole family!
Every Pack is run by a dedicated group of parent volunteers – from Den leadership to the Pack committee, Pack 88 is as vibrant and active as the parents who give their time and energy to their Cub Scouts. All adult leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training which is completed online, with further opportunities to take position-specific and outdoor-oriented courses.
